Acupuncture & Toning: Tune-In for the Equinox

Join Amira and Carrie Wise at Living Arts Collective for a seasonal tune-in for the Equinox. This community acupuncture and sound healing experience holds the intention to ease our transition from late-summer to autumn, helping us individually and collectively tune in to what is shifting at this potent time of year.

The event will be held in the Wellness Studio next door to the main entrance of LAC. Space is limited to 20 people, so please come early to secure your spot! Please bring a yoga-mat, blanket, or whatever you need to create a comfortable “nest” to lie on for an hour. Please note that due to the nature of this event, we are not able to admit late-comers, so please arrive no later than 4:15 so that you can get set up and comfortable for the session.

Date: Saturday, September 28th
Time: 4:15-5:50 pm
Location: Living Arts Collective Wellness Studio 410 West Greer St. Durham
Suggested Fee: $35 with a sliding scale of $25-$50 so that you can pay in alignment with what feels best for you.

Poetry & The Genuine: Now I Become Myself

I am thrilled be co-leading this retreat at the beautiful Kirkridge Retreat Center in Pennsylvania with some of my favorite people in the world who inspire me everyday: my family.  For writers of all levels of experience.

Using a variety of techniques taken from Writing Seminars, Circle of Trust groups, the Alexander Technique, and Dance/Movement Therapy, this retreat will provide tools for each of us to better understand how and when we move between being “centered” and “off center.” Additionally we hope to show how recognizing our present-moment experience can serve us in discovering our genuine voice and expression as we write our poems and share our stories.

The retreat begins at 5:00 pm on Friday September 23rd 2017 and concludes after lunch on Sunday September 25th. For more information, and to register: http://www.kirkridge.org/?e=event&eventId=24910&rDate=9/23/2016
